KAYIKO

Karin Oèbster initially conceived and created her designs in absence of patterns. Her fashion skills were enhanced upon her move from the mountainous countryside of Salzburg to Vienna to attend the Michelbeuern fashion school in 1989. During her training she was selected to work with the notable Austrian “Assasyn” label.
Upon completion her fashion design certificate program in 1993, Karin Oèbster became designer at furrier M. Liska in Vienna. Karin Oebster’s fur designs where successfully received at Liska fashion shows. In addition to fur design, Karin Oèbster was a free-lance designer for the Swiss avant-garde fashion designer “Christa de Carouge,” from 1996 to 1999.
Returning to her love of simplicity, Karin Oebster established her own label in 1998. KAYIKO offers avant-garde designer fashion and accessories in exclusive limited editions and individual pieces for self-conscious, cosmopolitan people who value design, quality and individual luxury. “Less is more” is the philosophy behind the unique style of KAYIKO – Viennese Avant-Garde.
