Xingyu, Katherine Chen is a fashion designer that plays with silhouette and layers to highlight aesthetics in minimalism designs.
Born and raised in Fujian, China, her inspiration comes from the Chinese younger generation that emphasizes unique and aesthetic design elements that distinguishes them from other East Asian countries such as Japan and Korea, where full-minimalism is believed to be an ultimate design.
However, Xingyu believes that the power of a design comes from details emphasized in the pool of minimalism layers, creating a subtle, yet complex design.
