K ' S S A R A

Sara Guergova’s thesis collection is an introduction to the K ‘ S S A R A brand.

She takes elements of traditional adornment techniques and interprets them into a modern design scenario.
Sara was born in Bulgaria, raised in London and now lives in New York. After years of travel, ever-changing environments and an understanding of cultural differences, her visual influences are multi-layered and full of depth.

A Parsons graduate, Sara has also spent two semesters abroad, one in Parsons Paris and one in the infamous Central Saint Martins, where she gained an education of the European fashion industry as well as the one in US.

The brand’s aesthetic is a combination of wearable, minimal silhouettes with very elaborate design details, such as beading or hand-finished, dense ostrich feather layering.

The K ‘ S S A R A customer is for the self-assured woman with a bit of an edge and a need to stand out from the crowd.

Having a keen interest in photography, illustration and jewellery, Sara went onto photograph her thesis collection herself and also design a small, but concise jewellery line to go with her collection.
