Julie Eilenberger is a Danish womenswear designer based in London. At the age of 18 Julie moved to Florence, Italy, where she studied Art and Costume history before being accepted into fashion design at the University of the Arts in Berlin. Throughout her degree she attained international exposure and interest for all of her collections. Julie graduated with the highest honors in Fashion Design in 2011 under designer and professor Stephan Schneider, and then moved to London to work under Christopher Kane and Sophie Hulme. Julie has since founded her own self-titled label ‘Julie Eilenberger’. The collections are based on Julie’s idea of “relaxed luxury” - her collections are both nostalgic and graphic, while at the same time contemporary and easy to wear. Her strong print designs are the foundation of each collection, paired with her strong use of colours and geometric lines.
The Waves collection combines Julie Eilenberger's signature silhouettes, shapes, textures and colours. The clothing mixes modern and traditional elements. The geometric patterns of the collection sees the look sit perfectly between vintage and the technological and hyper-modern. Pyjama style two-piece outfits and slim-leg trousers give the collection a sleek edge of modern tailoring, while more traditionally feminine pieces, such as mini-dresses, mix retro shapes with futuristic touches.
