João Rôla is a young fashion designer established in Oporto, who finished his degree in 2011 at Escola Superior de Artes e Design in Matosinhos (ESAD).
After finishing his degree, he moved to Lisbon for an internship with designer Lidija Kolovrat for six months and acquired relevant knowledge for his professional output. After this internship, he started his career at a jeans wear brand Salsa, as designer of men’s accessories and footwear.
In March 2014 his women's wear collection "Tipe" was awarded second place at the young designers contest of Espaço Bloom, part of the Portugal Fashion event. He is currently focusing on his own brand.

The concept chosen to this collection is the ripening process made by the designer and depictured in the contemporary woman image who is here portrayed as a strong and a negligé woman.
Here the resulting row of thought crosses the same line of identity of the creator, being chosen light and flowy fabrics like twill, twisted crape, cotton poplin invoking the evolution's plasticity and the double piece effect as a visual illusion.
With THOROUGH, allied to the motto "straight forward", João Rôla's vision is here established in a meticulous and careful way opposite to societies’ swift and eager stimulations.
