...perfection is finally attained not when there is no longer anything to add, but when there is no longer anything to take away. – Antoine de Saint Exupéry, Terre des Hommes, 1939
Homini Studio was founded out of the desire to search for a preciousness beyond the traditional, suited for a contemporary sensibility. There are no embellishments. No set stones. Once the unnecessary is eliminated, the necessary may speak. It is not an exercise of simple subtraction, but there is absolutely no excessive addition.
Perfect marriage of high-fashion design and high-end craftsmanship, Homini Studio was brought to life by the collaboration of two young women entrepreneurs. Deborah and Dinorah Kaiser combine their formation as architects and designers with a driving passion for fashion and accessory design, and a highly skilled craftsmanship and expertise in the production of fashion jewelry.
“As architects we have always been interested in the search for a transcendental beauty. This pursuit led us to look for new scenarios, scales and formats. Our pieces are hence thought as miniature sculptures that live in close proximity to the human body. Making things as simple as possible but not simpler.”
Homini was thus founded out of the desire materialize the idea of beauty into unique, one-of-a-kind pieces, incorporating the aesthetic beauty of pure geometry and an intimate care of each and every technical aspect of the production process.
“We use high-end acrylic that create unique aesthetic and chromatic effects, lead-free Brass, Sterling Silver and 18k Gold to ensure a nickel-free, hypoallergenic, and long lasting product. Each piece is handcrafted with the utmost attention towards details. Each piece in the collection is imperfectly unique.
As manufacturers, our choice from the beginning has been to focus on the high quality and thorough care of all details. We give equal importance to the design process, the research of materials, and the high standards of quality in the production process.”
Everything is studied down its most minimum detail, from the packaging of the product, exclusively designed and handmade, to the usability of the pieces, which are designed to accompany the customer in their daily life.
