Guglielmo Musitelli

Guglielmo Musitelli was born in La Spezia the 8th Novembre 1978. After the Diploma in scientific subjects, his interest for fashion trend addressed him to the European Design Institute where he completed his studies in “fashion Design”. At I.E.D. he studied with the fashion designer Andrea Batilla who followed him during the preparation of his thesis. He also studied with Lorena Maschieri, modelist and teacher of “tecniche di modello” and with Luisa Villani expert in fashion marketing.
Three intensive years during which he refined his drawing abilities and he critically studied in depth the history of costumes and fashion. He thoroughly went into the study of art, marketing and communication through theory and workshops that led to his final thesis.
For his final exam Guglielmo Musitelli designed and manufactured a dress collection inspired to the strait jacket in a game of patterns and materials.
An unusual and original idea that received an award when two patterns were presented at “Roma Collezioni” in 2002.
At present the creativity of Guglielmo Musitelli is concentrated on accessories and in particulars on handbags. Since few years, he is proposing an original collection of handbags and shoppers carefully designed in each detail. Unique pieces as a mix of creativity, handcraft and care for fashion. In his creations, the young designer, plays with geometric forms repeated in different dimensions or mixed in original combinations; he proposes rigorous handbags in strongly structured patterns where the choice of fabric and the leather finishing play an important role.
