GRANDPA is a Budapest based contemporary fashion brand for an ageless generation. Trans- mission is the brand’s goal and primary concept. These garments are for brothers, fathers and grandfathers, to live through constancy of time and lineage, throughout generations.

Family tradition, kinship, close familiar community and heritage of the past are all incentives of the brand. Therefore, it aspires to recall the feeling of wearing our parents’, grandparents’ clothes accompanied by our ancestors’ wisdom and life experiences. To realize collections that are long lasting and timeless, the designing process embraces warm personal memories and values of previous times, thus heritage is strengthened in the creation and recreation.

GRANDPA SPRING SUMMER 2019

Set in the countryside, the menswear label, Grandpa’s SS19 collection plays with the notion of holiday pilgrimage. The sun soaked surroundings of the lake-side with the natural vegetation of the water based plants is a meeting point of land and water, simultaneously suggesting arrival and being put. The gently wavering waves, the lazily moving environment slow time itself down, where it becomes equivalent with the remoteness of the scenery and no longer needs to be measured.

The narrative of the look book reveals the exploration of a lonely island and breathing space of distance. Comfort finds shelter in the design, by using classic cuts and natural materials the collection builds into a full set of apparels, that can be worn by men and women alike. These essential pieces can be easily combined, telling a COLOR-STORY that will be infinite reminder of the days spent by the lake house.
