Gottlieb Schwarz is a lifestyle footwear brand launched in 2010 in Moscow by Russian shoemaker Andrey Zhakevich. Always having a passion for shoes, he decided to learn the process of hand-made production techniques under the mentorship of worldwide known shoemaker Stefano Bemer. Andrey believes that the best materials, comfort and an appealing design are the key components of an outstanding pair of shoes.

The name Gottlieb Schwarz was inspired by a title character in George Sand's writing about a man who was making ugly shoes but who was deeply in love with his work, despite everyone’s opinion.

Handcrafted from high-quality 100% natural materials, such as Italian and French leather, with high attention to fit and construction, Gottlieb Schwarz is aiming to create wearable and stylish footwear that lasts for years.
