FABRIC DIVISION is a venture of the Fashion Designers Linda Crivellari and Enrico Assirelli. Different in their educational paths but complementary in their roles, Enrico is an industrial designer and product designer with a strong interest in pattern cutting and the architecture of the garment; Linda graduated in techniques and cultural values of costume and fashion design, carrying out a continuous research on all the fields of contemporary creation. The official partnership starts and becomes a tangible collaboration in August 2009 during the competition “A box for a dream” sponsored by the Italian Claudio Buziol Fund in Venice, where a honourable mention was given for the Fabric Division project. The decision to create a brand with regular seasonal collections was immediate and natural, with the SS 2013, FABRIC DIVISION reach the fifth collection mark, gaining experience through different projects, some of them on the subject of sustainability, such as the capsule collection "URBAN ECO-MOBILITY CONCEPT" exclusive for YOOXYGEN. Their continuous research looks more and more into a conception of a unisex garment, a shifting and dynamic figure that hovers in the metropolitan landscape reinventing itself whilst engaging in an open dialogue with the body and the garment. Focus is given to the fabric's highly sensorial tactile and reflective surfaces.
