Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid
In this edition, the MBFWM fashion show includes important names in Spanish fashion, like Custo, Marcos Luengo and Menchén Tomás. In total, 42 renowned Spanish designers, in addition to an international designer from one of the international Mercedes-Benz fashion shows.
The fashion show will once again receive strong support from leading brands in their respective sectors. A total of 17 labels will be sponsoring the event. Mercedes-Benz, L’Oréal Paris and INDITEX will once again be the main sponsors. Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, Spanish fashion's big event, is presenting its 65th edition with important new additions and features aimed at strengthening its leadership as the top Spanish design platform and its position as one of the leaders in fashion worldwide.
The most relevant new feature of this edition is the addition of Charo Izquierdo as director of the MBFWM fashion show. She is a professional with a long and prestigious domestic and international career in the world of media and fashion. Leonor Pérez Pita, founder and supervisor of the event since its inception more than three decades ago, will chair the Fashion Committee, which will resume its activity as advisory body to the main Spanish fashion show. The Committee will be formed by a group of experts in fashion, design and new trends, and will have advisory functions in different organisational areas of the fashion show.
Inclusion of designers, in terms of the designers involved, Custo Barcelona, Marcos Luengo and Menchén Tomás will take part for the first time in the MBFWM, strengthening of the event with rich new proposals. Their inclusion once again shows the permanent and decisive support that this fashion show has offered for more than thirty years to the world of Spanish fashion as a whole, gradually enhancing its programme to include the most important Spanish designers at each moment in time. Since its inception in February 1985, the MBFWM fashion show has hosted the parades of more than 300 Spanish designers.
Once again, and in celebration of the 65th edition of the MBFWM fashion show, the city of Madrid will become one of the major capital cities of the world of international fashion and design and, as in the previous years, the show will be open to the city, with different activities on offer.
The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid is a key event in the fashion and creative world, and each edition is therefore a constant focus for major brands wishing to be associated with fashion and new trends. The next edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid will thus once again receive the major support from its sponsors. In total, 17 brands will be sponsoring the event. Mercedes-Benz, L’Oréal Paris and Inditex will once again be its main sponsors; Samsung, Anna de Codorniu and Solán de Cabras will be normal sponsors and the Hotel Barceló Torre de Madrid –the official hotel of this edition-, IED Madrid, Swarovski, ESNE, Rowenta, Kaiku Caffé Latte, Schweppes, Carlota and Cayetana Jewelry, and Rodilla -official caterer of this edition- will be collaborators. Other brands, like Kaleos and Elephant&Castle, will also be supporting this platform's upcoming event. Likewise, the Fashion TV channel will be this edition's official international television channel.
