For the "Almanac" collection, I was inspired my peasant roots and its popular imagery featuring the Savoyard farmer's almanac.
In each house we knew how to embroider, spin, knit, card, work with iron or straw ... it was a domestic skill that the we passed on.
These people, who did not have the luxury to waste, nevertheless retained the love of fine work and the desire to please: as a requirement of dignity in the hostile calendar of nature.
