I did my Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design at the University of Applied Arts in Schneeberg (Germany) – there I developed my passion for creating, inventing and designing knitwear because I was fascinated by the challenges, the complexity and possibilities of this textile technique.

Besides that I believe that Fully Fashioned and 3D Seamless Knitting is a key technology in creating a better and sustainable future for the clothing industry and other textile areas. I am convinced knitting technology will help to get rid of mass production and switch to seamless knitted customized lot size one production scale.

For now I see myself more as an intermediary person between design and knitting technique. I want to break down the strict borders between designer and knitting technician in the industry. So in the future I want to see myself behind a knitting machine – learning and developing functional and sustainable 3D seamless knitwear products without creating any additional waste. I want to see myself involved in a lot of interesting researching projects around knitwear – not matter if textile and fashion industry or a technical area. Furthermore I wish to work interdisciplinary, gaining and sharing knowledge and experiences with others and learn from them as well.
