Head of School

David Cooper is is Professor of Music and Technology in the School of Music though his role as Dean of the innovative Faculty of Performance, Visual Arts and Communications (PVAC) currently largely takes him out of the School. He is a composer and musicologist who has published extensively, including nine books, on the music of Béla Bartók, film music (especially Bernard Herrmann, Trevor Jones and Michael Nyman), music technology and the traditional music of Ireland.
