Istituto Marangoni Milan
The centre of fashion Istituto Marangoni was born here. Here the great names of Italian prêt-â-porter were trained. We are in the city center, a few steps from the path of fashion excellence, via Montenapoleone. Milan is the city of fashion par excellence; here new ideas and styles are continually developed. And Istituto Marangoni students find the tools to interpret and guide and grow through study programs which are constantly updated to become highly skilled professionals in the fashion industry at the highest creative, organizational and business levels. In 1935, Giulio Marangoni founded the Istituto Artistico dell’abbigliamento Marangoni, or The Marangoni Artistic Clothing Institute in Milan. It was a school to train professionals and technicians who were highly specialized in the world of fashion. During its existence, the Istituto Marangoni has never stopped believing in the value of training, constantly updating its programmes to make sure they are always in line with Italian and international market needs. In the past few years, Istituto Marangoni has opened new campuses in London in 2003, Paris in 2006, and most recently, Shanghai in 2013.
The essence of fashion and design: this is what is taught at Istituto Marangoni. Professionals, who are passionate about their work and are willing to share their expertise, teach the young talent that, once graduated, will reach the highest professional levels.
Through a complete course, where theory is taught alongside practice, students learn that creativity is a gift to be nurtured, nourished and stimulated continuously, with passion and dedication. It is the same passion for the world of fashion and design with which our teachers teach down to the finest detail.

Life in Milan
Milan, the name is synonymous with fashion, glamour, wealth and above all, energy. The city has the fastest pace of any town in Italy. This is a city of the future as well as of the past, where Leonardo painted his masterpieces of realism and Howard Schultz first plotted to transform American fast-food culture by launching Italian espresso bars in the US. It is a city where young and old alike can explore, create, above all have fun, not just study. Milan is a city of the influential and established but it is also a city of students, and its diversity reflects that.
