Recently graduated from the University of the Arts London/London College of Fashion, XiaoZhou Su designs with a combination of modernity and artistic philosophy. With a background of fine art painting and life sketch, XiaoZhou Su looking for establishing a new perspective of traditional menswear. She applied subtle and fine textures with contrast colour together with curve shapes around the body to create a virtualization and reality illusion on her clothes.

Latest Collection

MAN IN MAN

XIAOZHOU SU latest collection is a syncretism of classical tailoring and the avante garde. The style is created in response to an analysis of the male body, where the analysis is connected with the work of master artists and their individual understanding of how the line can be used to create a man’s shape. My garments also reference ideas from Matisse and other fine artists. The main idea of this project is to create a vision of ‘new man’ through the garments, primarily as a result of the application of a unique pattern that cuts and joins two colour panels on one outfit, and it’s inspired by the concept of the essential line.
