Collection – Elle préférait les myosotis

Elle préférait les myosotis
Rose sur les yeux
Volets bleus

This collection is a clash between pictures of my grandmother in the 70's, my muse, and workwear, a major inspiration in my design. I wanted to create a wardrobe that reunited those two inspirations mixing elegant material like silk organza or velvet with workwear details such as plastic zipper or double topstitch. I used different kind of shiny fabrics, delicate like silk satin, and more industrial like vinyl. I was inspired as well by the volume of tailored shapes as by workwear overalls. The colors are taken from the 70's grandmother living-room, enhanced by vivid touch of orange and the iconic blue.
This collection is a balanced mix between ornemental and practical.
Victoire Witdouck was born in 1993 in the North of France. She has studied fashion first in Lyon. Then she moved to Switzerland where she graduated from the HEAD Geneva (Haute école d'arts et de design) of a bachelor in fashion design in June 2017. She likes to create hybrid design, mixing noble and cheap materials, technical and ornemental details. Her graduation collection called "Elle préférait les myosotis" (she used to prefer myosotis) deals with two main inspirations: pictures of her grandmother in the 70's, her muse and workwear.
