Seojung Lee is a contemporary womenswear designer who will soon be graduated from London college of fashion. Having studied fine arts and textiles from young age till higher education, she has always been keen on bringing expressive painting techniques into her garments. Inspired by construction sites and demolished buildings, her fabric manipulation process in every collection consists of wide range of industrial materials such as resin, oil based paint, liquid latex, concrete powder, plaster, nail, wax, plastic sheet, cling film and etc. Her unique way of manipulating fabrics as her design signature, her collections deals with juxtaposition of garments with different personalities through layering. Her respect for her own country and culture reflects back into her work irrespective of concept of each collection. A lot of elements of Korean traditional costumes contributes a big part in proportions, volumes and silhouettes of garments.
