«Gravlax» is my BA collection.
For this womenswear collection, I was inspired by the first sensation I ever had in a garment ; a pink salmon jersey stirrup pants I used to wear on Sundays around the age of six. I worked on elasticity and tension and I chose to translate this into the «fil rouge» of elastic band. I played with the construction of the stirrup pants, moving the elastic (initially placed under the foot) all around the body (thumb, neck, hips, shoulders). The elastic band was either worked as it is and integrated into the garment to create a tension, either worked as weavings, creating a textile whose elasticity is functional. Elasticity is the only opening/closing system to put on or take off the clothes. No zips, buttons, etc are neither used nor needed.
