Simone Chap is an international fashion label with an italian soul.

With designs focused on pret-a-porter with couture elements, and using the best italian fabrics and materials, Simone mixes the old-fashioned italian couture techniques with a post-avantgarde aesthetic and modern technologies, to create wearable contemporary art pieces.

Simone developed his aesthetic code in a life of artistic experiments, from novel-writing to painting, to being a musician, composer and designer.

Working first in a small tailoring studio in his hometown, after his graduation he has been interning for dutch designer Iris Van Herpen, and then worked for Paris-based designer Rick Owens. All of these working experiences contributed to form and influence his asthetic, bringing him a post-avantgarde vision on modern and future apparel.

The Dark Matter Collection is a journey in our little universe, to discover the invisible dark matter that rules our consciousness.
A subtle, dark structure that can only be perceived through the effects it has on the other surrounding matter.

The invisible and obscure matter finds his form in dark fabrics, and the hand-crafted manipulated silk recalls the chaos theory, while layers and folds are shaped on wormholes and space-time alterations.
