Multi-artist Anna Österlund is based on the countryside of the utmost southern point of Sweden. Being both a fashion designer, photographer and videographer with a love for writing, she mixes the use of different media when working on an idea: her short films and fabulous fashion items are often presented together with a capturing story, she collaborates with other artists, and she sketches by using the camera.
From 2007 to 2012 she was designing and running the androgynous fashion brand Ravishing Mad and made commercial denim based collections with production around Europe, mainly in Portugal, Sweden and Estonia. When possible, the collections were always made from organic fabric and she visited the factories often in order to make sure the conditions for the workers were good. Ravishing Mad was shown at the fashion weeks of Paris, New York, Berlin and Copenhagen, and sold to stores worldwide. Her style within fashion has over the years emerged from denim based and androgynous street wear to a more exclusive style, however the attitude is never lost. She now designs hand-made garments under her personal name and her moto is impecable craftsmanship, to give the bearer a sense of magnificent power and to never hold back. The production is made in Sweden.
Anna Österlund graduated from the Swedish School of Textiles in Borås in 2006 and holds a bachelor's degree in Art, major in Fashion design. Danish designer and multi-artist Henrik Vibskov was one of the first to discover the Ravishing Mad denims and stocking them in his stores in Copenhagen and Olso since the very first collection. Since then Ravishing Mad has also been available at Urban Outfitters USA, Delta in Tokyo, Rac boutique in Toronto, TG-170 in NYC, PotiPoti in Berlin, Bespoke Boutique in Norwich and many more.
