It is difficult to put the collection of Nolo AW17/18 into the boundaries of a certain style or century. It is like a kaleidoscope, consisting of elements that clash at first glance, but somehow all come together into an eclectic, but harmonious whole. The collection features Victorian dresses you’d imagine at an Oxford college, school uniforms, cheerleader costumes and leggings - all so dear to students. Of course, it incorporates many masculine elements, so dear to Nolo. Hoodies, blazers, parkas and the coat you stole from your boyfriend compliment the feminine elements of a girly wardrobe. Woollen crepe, viscose georgette, different jersey fabrics from natural fibres, matte and patent eco leather and fur, jacquard, chiffon, plissé, lurex, lamé, vinyl, Bologne, silk taffeta - these are not even all the fabrics used in this collection! The colour palette as well is very diverse. Along with the irreplaceable blacks and greys, the collection will feature faded shades of purple, emerald, chocolate, khaki and ecru with accents of red, fuchsia and wine. A lot of statement slogan prints, so popular to modern-day intellectual youth. As always, a lot of attention is paid to details and accessories as well as the functionality and comfort of every element.
