Morwenna grew up in a vibrant community on a farm in Scotland. Attracted by the glamour of fashion, Morwenna aspired to become a fashion designer from the age of 10. She completed a foundation course at the Leith School of Art, followed by a degree in Fashion from Edinburgh College of Art, where she gained a First Class Honors.

Awarded the Laura Ashley scholarship and supported by the Dewar Art Awards, Morwenna continued to the Royal College of Art, London, where she completed a masters in fashion Womenswear in June 2015.

After graduating, Morwenna moved to Rome where she is now a Junior Designer for Gucci.

Morwenna has demonstrated an ability and talent throughout her studies and placements that has won her numerous awards for her work. In Wallpaper magazine's “Next Big Thing” issue (January 2016) she was named one of “Fashions Finest New Names.

Morwenna’s plan is to continue gaining industry experience before setting up her own label.

In a culture where one is defined by how hard one works, those who are now outwith the duty of labour graduate to a new labour; that of declaring their prevailing worth. Through our increasing homogenisation of the elderly and retired, we deprive a people of their claim to power, uniqueness, beauty and dynamism. This collection makes a study of an elderly lady who strives to preserve her identity, despite society’s banishment of her into anonymity.
