Collection – I THOUGHT I'D SEEN IT ALL BUT I HADN'T SEEN THAT

My collection was inspired by unusual customisation techniques used within subcultures, particularly those utilising unexpected materials not often found within fashion. This work was heavily based around print and embellishment, as well as the combination of traditional techniques and modern technology such as laser cutting and 3D printing.

About
Lucy Dickinson is a Melbourne based fashion designer and stylist, who graduated the RMIT Bachelor of Fashion Design (Honours) course at the end of 2017. Since then she has gone on to win the Australian Fashion Foundation award and have her collection accepted into both VAMFF and i-D Dunedin emerging designer runways. Lucy's designs feature heavy embellishment using a combination of traditional and modern techniques, from laser etching and 3D printing to hand embroidery and painting. Her designs show influences from subculture and DIY fashion movements, modernising the inspirations to create her own unique style. Her label is currently all handmade in Australia and designed to fit multiple genders and body types.
