In working on the 'Deep' series, I was influenced by the scientific illustrations of Ernst Heinrich Haeckel, who in the 19th century turned the attention of Western civilisation to the world of the magnificent and tiny creatures of the seabed. The desire to discover the principle of living matter, which is both functional and beautiful, corresponds to the idea of ​​artistic creation. Jewelry has the power to rejuvinate the human body, very much the same way that coral transforms the seabed. This series of my jewelry is made from paper lamellae, which is a variable material. It invites the potential bearer to participate in the various forms of jewelry and experience how it can be transformed from enclosed shapes into dynamic forms in space. The shapes can resemble waves of coral polyps that swiftly change with the movement of imaginary underwater currents.
