Lee Wood, English born, showed directly his interest in fashion and design, after graduating from the Berkshire College of London with a diploma in Art and Fashion Design, he started his career first as a salesman and then as a stylist.

In 1998 he decided to transfer to Milan where he entered the design offices of Versace, in which he worked with for more then sixteen years alongside Donatella Versace. During his time at the maison as a creative consultant, his roles included chief designer of the Versus women’s wear and later chief designer for Versace women’s footwear, before becoming Head of License Accessories where he oversaw Versace Casa, Versace Sunglasses and Eyewear and other licensed products.

Eclectic and loved by the fashion and design world, through various professional collaborations he has formed relationships, and indeed friendships, with people from diverse creative fields, creating a network of contacts with which he still works today.

Therefore, in 2013, he decided to open his own consultancy studio StudioL72, where along with reliable collaborators, he follows the creative development of a diverse range of products.

In February 2015, during the Milan Fashion Week, Lee decides to launch his own label, L72, where he presented to the press a total look for both men and women, to showcase all that he had learnt during his career so far, to express his vision in complete freedom, an unconditional gesture, and an exploration into a new form of expression.
This lead to L72 being selected as a finalist in both the Men’s and Women’s categories for the “WHO IS ON NEXT?” competition sponsored by Vogue Italia, AltaRoma & Pitti Discovery, where in July 2015, Lee Wood L72 was nominated the Winner for his women’s wear collection, also taking home the special acknowledgment award sponsored by Fashion Valley.
