The collection was inspired by a utopian scenario in which the protagonist flees from the over-technologised civilisation into nature. The idea is to put the concept of going back into nature and to the roots into a futuristic sci-fi inspired context. Therefore I tried to - rather than taking the expected path of an earthy, natural color and material palette- imitate or rather interpret the snowy, cold landscape of the scenario by experimenting with new materials like silicone and scuba spacers. The whole collection is held in white/off white with a splash of bright green displaying the greens poking through the blanket of snow. I wanted to translate costume in a more fashion context and therefore besides more avantgarde pieces as overgarments I worked on underlayers that could easily be translated into RTW garments.
Mirroring the aspect of going back to the roots I entitled each look and garment with names of the homelands and gods of the norse mythology as to going back to your spirituality aswell.
