Isabel Wong graduated from Edinburgh College of Art with a degree in fashion design. Between studying, she interned for Gareth Pugh as a studio assistant in both London and Paris and worked as an assistant pattern cutter for Giles. She was involved with the Alfa Romeo MiTo Car launch in collaboration with Harris Tweed, showcasing her Harris Tweed Coat Design in April 2009. Her most recent Mackintosh Coat, sponsored by and in collaboration with Mackintosh is currently for bespoke order in the newly opened Mackintosh flagship store, Mayfair, London.
The label is defined by contemporary and experimental cutting often inspired by perplexity, enigma and curiosity - and the ability to translate conceptualism into wearability. With an interest in creative cutting, finishings and intricate surface detail, Isabel is continuously exploring and expanding new techniques in order to achieve further successful collections.
