As time passes at such a quick pace it is hard to see the simple beauty that surrounds us. Within a city, buildings crumble, rust forms, and paint chips from walls. Yet with this decay come new, natural forms of beauty.

Lichen, a composite organism, forms on these surfaces and also throughout nature. Its unique colors and shapes play a key role in this collection. Materials also play a significant role with a focus on using natural, raw fibers. Fabrics were hand dyed using natural ingredients such as avocado, turmeric, and fennel. Each piece was hand embroidered creating one-of-a-kind textiles replicating lichen.
