Designer Clark Sabbat and Creative Director Lynn Levoy originally founded Friends with Benefits, with the idea of recycled tee shirts being made into dresses and tops which is how we landed our first celebrity client Rihanna. Since then the collections have evolved and we have used knits, woven’s and exotic skins. Sabbat attended the Parsons School of Design and Lynn attended Boston University. Sabbat has worked as a designer in NYC and Paris for various brands and Levoy has worked as a publicist and a stylist with celebrity clientele. Together they have over 20 years of fashion experience. The FWB collections are created using couture techniques such as draping directly in fabric to develop silhouettes. We create with a combination of draping and sketching to produce balance. Our signature look is draped sculpting with a touch of tailoring. Apart from designing our own collection, collaborations have played a major role. We coordinate with designers to create exclusive accessories to further develop the brand. Currently Friends with Benefits is designing collections for various fashion clients. The focus has shifted and now Designer Clark Sabbat is launching his eponymous fashion line. Sabbat’s collection will debut this year and will consist of elegant and modern silhouettes that will stand the test of time while adding a touch of style to one’s wardrobe. Tailored ease, mixing of fabrics and textures with an eye for unexpected detail will set the collection apart. As always the collections are a study in design, comfort and seduction.
