FELT by Natalie is the embodiment of elements of nature fused by skills and passion to produce elegant, transparent designs which are 100% organic and envelope the body like a second skin.

The brand of Natalie Groeneveld has been developed just as organically as the pieces she creates. Starting out as a hobby and a way of switching off – “it was like a form of healing for me” – Natalie began to develop her artistic talents in 2009.

She explains: “Creating felt textures gives me space to open up; to discover another level inside myself to become more transparent, more conscious and open.” By exploring felt – the oldest textile in history made by the most ancient technique – she discovered the beautiful garments that could be crafted by working with pure 100% natural fibres such as the softest merino wool as well as raw silk.

She studied this incredible process of combining materials with delicate wool as the key component - which naturally seeks to fuse with other fibres. The result? An incredible collection of dresses, tops, scarves and more; wearable, unique designs made to specific measurements and which boldly contrast the bridge between nature and striking fashion. Natalie’s range also covers interior art pieces like wall hangings.

The delicate process of nuno felting is favoured by Natalie whereby she bonds the wild fibres she sources into a soft, lightweight material. All of Natalie’s creations are then coloured by nature as she uses extracts of plants to create specific shades and patterns and tints her clothing until the desired colour is ready.

As her collection grows, she’s constantly developing new techniques. Every single piece Natalie creates is one of a kind. Her flair for tailoring such an intricate and delicate age-old craft with contemporary design and her own signature style is beautifully evident in all of her creations.
