Fariba Soltani is an emerging London-based fashion brand that specialises in luxury scarves and pocket squares, the British fashion house was found by its eponymous designer in 2013.

Heretofore, her collections’ unique sartorial identity reflects both the working background of the brand’s namesake designer and her cultural heritage. The Iranian-born Fariba Soltani began her career in architecture working for the award-winning British practice Foster + Partners and credits her mother, a Persian rug designer, from whom she inherited her passion for pattern design. “My design language is based on geometric inspired expressions that are nurtured from my interior architecture background and my cultural heritage. .”

Her storied journey from architect to founder of a fashion label has manifested itself in geometric prints in not just her Autumn Winter 2016 / 2017 collection but all of her collections so far. She is from an architectural background, simple lines and geometric shapes and forms are a natural path and Fashion and architecture are parallel practices for her. Fariba Soltani has managed to channel her affinity for layering, repetition, colours and shapes into her collections, putting a modern twist on the functional scarf.

The brand’s commitment to quality and Italian craftsmanship appears almost anachronistic in an industry in which the current trend of production delocalisation is de jour among luxury marques (contrary, of course, to what consumers want).

The label’s mix of contemporary vision and appreciation for elegance has earned it a growing clientele. The brand has launched five collections so far and with each collection they have tried to meet a new objective. Fariba has launched a male line of scarves after two years and has plans to broaden the brand further.
