Evaa Kuik (1989) is the young dutch designer behind the label EVAN menswear. She was born and raised in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. June 2013, Evaa graduated from the Willem de Kooning Academy Rotterdam with a BA in Fashion. In 2011-12 she studied at Geneva University of Art and Design. In her minor 'Collection & Series' Evaa developed coherent sets of fashion products (shoes & accessories) within her own artistic vision. 2012 - 2013 Internship at Baartmans & Siegel, London UK. During her time assisting Baartmans & Siegel, she facilitate the core aspects of conception, execution of 2 full seasons, gaining valuable insight to the London menswear and also an overview and exposure to all corners of work and demands.

Oct 2013 Evaa started her own label, EVAN menswear. Evaa as owner and creative director of EVAN menswear proudly presented her first menswear collection at the Mercedes-Benz FashionWeek Amsterdam 2014, to be precise at FashionLab, a lab for promising talents and young professionals, on January 25. The show was great and the collection 'Where boys fear to tread' is just the beginning of a new story to tell. In July 2014, followed by an equally great first FashionLab Pro show with her collection S/S 2015 'The youth of this nation'. Young, sporty, androgynous, controversial, beautiful and stylish are just some epithets her fans, the public and media gave to this again striking collection with special effects and live music. The story continues... as in her latest fashionshow 'Little Wild Illusion Machine' January 2015, the story is told about a boy who confuses reality with dreams and illusions. Evaa Kuik: "The reality of our generation, mixed up, constantly changing visions and feelings of our wild hearts". The dancers, the models, the live music, the clothing; it is what this fashion show is all about: a new story to tell.
