Emilie Carré is a young fashion designer born in 1988.
After graduating a « Baccalauréat Artisanat et Métier d’art » where she learnt to sew and to create her first clothes, she left Angers and settled down in Paris. She completed her formation with a « stylist designer fashion » degree Haute Couture specialization and joined ESMOD international school. The acquisition of high-end technical skills allowed her to work for the most acknowledged Parisian « Maisons de couture »: the Opera Garnier (where she made accessories, jewels, ballet costumes), Sonia Rykiel’s showroom, Céline, Maxime Simoëns. She also worked as a dresser for Chanel, Jean Paul Gaultier, Léonard and Manuel Ungaro’s fashion shows.
However, it’s a rewarding experience in the wedding world that generated her interest in the dress:

« For most women, including myself, dresses are the favorite piece of clothing. There are many occasions that lead a woman to wear a dress, something different from your day to day outfit. »

Inspired by the 50s in Hollywood, Emilie Carré based her work upon the evening dress and decided to launch her own eponym brand of luxury ready-to-wear clothes. She proposes original creations designed in France, with noble materials and in a resolutely feminine and sensual style. Through structured clothes, defined by geometrical cuts, an association of materials and different textures, Emilie definitely sublimates women’s silhouette.
