Press & Reviews
Christopher Ross is a New York sculptor, known for making true wearable Objets d'art. His work has been featured in museums, on the runway, and also on Sex & The City worn by SJP. It's also clear that Gucci's current season (Spring 2017) runway handbags & belts were inspired by his work.

It has been said that fashion is not art, because it’s meant to be worn. Well, we here at STIFF UPPER lip, disagree.
With their innovative eye and genius execution, there is some fashion that can only be described as works of art and the designers themselves as great artists. Christopher Ross is such designer that we feel so lovingly deserves that title. Currently experiencing a renaissance thanks to the editors of Vogue Magazine and the business savvy of Rachel Roy, Mr. Ross’ handcrafted belts look as if they belong more as sculptures in the MET than accessories in a department store. Mr. Ross sculpts his animals with such care and detail that one can even see the individual hairs of the rabbit's fur. EVOLUTION recently had a Christopher Ross rabbit belt in its curated selection and we simply couldn’t stop staring at it. Not only was it like having a new piece of art adorning the studio, but the ruby-colored glass eye stared at us wherever we went. And we kinda liked it…
