Collection – Love Letter to Hong Kong

Inspirations from Wong Kar Wai's Chungking Express. A collection that is a love letter dedicated to Hong Kong. It’s a celebration of its multicultural identity and ultramodern outlook that is rich in tradition and strongly multi-faceted.

Modern suiting in linen and shirt dresses in silk linen are embroidered with hand-drawn patterns of monkeys, palm leaves and tropical flowers that represents the story of Hong Kong as one big urban jungle.

This season we played around with really light, organic textiles. Linen, silk linen and cottons. We started this collection around July in Manila and it really gets hot and humid and we decided to take inspiration from that. For us this season, its really important to stay true to our heritage and use what we can produce in our country because it can help us to have a stronger identity as Filipino brand.

About
Ched Studio is defined by artisanal approach to creating fashion. Inspirations drawn from the arts, history and pop culture are fused with craftsmanship and use of modern and old world textiles. Started in 2011, the brand began with a small capsule collection which are commissioned by private customers. Under the design direction of Christian Edward Dalogaog, Ched Studio now includes CHED Ched Studio an extension brand under the main contemporary line. CHED Ched Studio takes inspiration from classic streetwear pieces reinterpreted with the brand's DNA. In January 2017, VOGUE Italia's VOGUE.it profiled CHED Studio as part of their initiative in discovering NEW TALENTS that represents contemporary fashion. Part of the Spring/Summer 2018 presentations, Ched Studio represented the Philippines in Lao Fashion Week and Pitti Immagine SUPER Trade Show in Milan Fashion Week, chosen in collaboration with VOGUE Italia's Vogue Talents under Sara Maino, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Italia.
