Branching out from her work with wool, Azulant set out to create a collection inspired by her brand ambassador Georgia Potts (Junior Face of The Globe 2016). Each gown is inspired by a different Disney Princess. The collection is an ever evolving project with new gowns being added every quarter.
After winning a Highly Commended Award in 2013 and First Place in 2014 at The Australian Wool Fashion Awards, Azulant launched her eponymous label. The Azulant Akora label has grown to become synonymous with Australian merino wool, and most recently was honored with an exclusive show at the WA Farmers Federation Annual Gala Dinner in 2016. As head designer, Azulant’s vision for her label is to encompass a global following, and she is well on her way; she has secured two international editorials with publications based in New York and LA. After attracting the attention of a major US retailer, Azulant secured two stockists in Malaysia and showcased at Los Angeles Fashion Week alongside Project Runway alumni Veejay Floresca. The Australian Financial Review, Countryman Magazine and The West Australian have all credited Azulant for her unique and contemporary use of Australian merino wool. Merino carries with it the Australian story and spirit, which is something that inspires Azulant with every collection. Azulant Akora is a proudly 100% Australian label - grown, designed and made. Designed and made in Perth, Western Australia, Australia.
