About
Born in Transylvania in 1968, Alina left her native country for France in 1990. After several years of intense struggle to make her dreams come true, she entered the BJO-Formation Jewellery School at rue du Louvre in Paris in 2004. She made up for lost time and within one year was an award winner at the HRD International Diamonds Awards 2005, the most prestigious contemporary jewellery competition, with two oversized jewels : the 'Mysterious Veil' and the 5 m long 'Scarf for fresh evenings'. In 2007, she won the First Prize of the same contest thanks to ‘The Invincible Cape’ : an 1.70 m iron wire netting magic cape, housing 574 rough diamonds. This innovative swirl, which envelopes the body with 983.57ct diamond luciola, today features in the Diamond Museum collection in Antwerp, Belgium. In 2007, she won also the 1st Special Prize with the 'Starry Scarf" (back jewel) and the 3rd Accessories Prize at the French Tahitian Pearl Trophy and was an award winner at the Grands Prix de la Création de la Ville de Paris in 2007 and 2008. Her jewelry pieces can be found at BSL gallery and IBU gallery in Paris, France. Key words for Alina's work : strong but soft, sexy and emotional, violent and sensual, transgressif but so terribly soothing... Just free yourself.
