Born in Norway and based in New York City, Aina Beck is a Parsons MFA graduate in Fashion design and Society. Her Spring 2013 Ready-to-Wear debut collection premiered at New York Fashion Week's strong reviews.

The playful debut collection drew upon John Whitney's geometric computer graphics and Jim Henson's pre-recorded Ed Sullivan Show sketches. She took particular inspiration from Henson's psychedelic sketch “Limbo, The Organized Mind” and Whitney's "Variations of a Circle (1941-42)". Built with various medias, Beck's techniques included: printing on knitwear and french tulle, blocking out areas of light with textile, foiling with various colors, and playing with different geometrical shapes.

Beck has interned for both Diane Von Furstenberg and Phillip Lim, and is currently working on her follow-up collection.
