Daughter of Jón was born in Hackney in Spring 2013. We like reinventing classic designs with raw textures, matching striding colours to elegant shapes, unusual materials and natural proportions.
Founder and Designer of Daughter of Jón, Hedi Jónsdottir grew up in Reykjavik and Vienna and then moved to Barcelona where she lived for a long time. She combines aesthetics and memories from all these places in her designs: the raw elements of Iceland, the flair of Vienna, the playfulness and colour of Barcelona's street life. And now London is bringing it all together.

COLLECTION N°6

In this collection which represents three moods - day, work and night , colours are striding and strong, deep blues and greens come to pay with metallics and iridescent, shimmering hues reminiscent of the sea.
Shapes are modern and minimal with bold structured lines and graphic silhouettes.

Fish-leather, the main material of the collection is sustainably sourced from Iceland, home country of designer and label owner Hedi Jonsdottir, the fish-leather was used by fishermen in the past to make shoes and accessories for its incredible strength due to its cross-fibered structure.
