This collections stems from my up bringing in the middle east and my current life in New York, it is a conversation between modern western fashion and traditional eastern fashion. I play on exposure of specific controlled aspects of the body and accentuate others by framing them with three dimensional surface details, like the ruff around the face in the last look. The collection has contrasting fabrics some lighter, like organza and charmeuse, others very dense, like bonded cotton and alpaca wool, to play on the opposite cultures that inspired me.
