To Unfinish the Finish

To Unfinish the Finish

I am trying to convey the whole idea of imperfection as perfection. I want my audience to appreciate their clothes more, by destroying my garments; I expose the hard work that goes into a piece of clothing. like the intricate handwork, well hidden inside a tailored jacket. I was inspired by an American Sculptor, John Chamberlain. His series of massive metal sculptures made of used vehicles posses the aggressive tone that I was searching for. My process started with fabrication. I am drawn to use non-traditional fabrics, or not fabrics at all.
