Looking at Bret Easton Ellis' novel American Psycho I explored the fine line between sanity and insanity. Taking traditional menswear garments, essentially the uniform of Wall Street and applying eerie fabric manipulation techniques and digital print, to convey the fractured mental state of the protagonist Patrick Bateman. Who while is obsessed with his appearance and is always impeccably dressed, looses his grip on reality and goes on a (much debated) killing spree.
