My designs are infuenced by a long interest in basketry, weaving and knotting and I have made these traditional practices the foundation of my practice.
In designing this collection I have imagined myself marooned on a desert island, with only the skills I have amassed and the materials around me for inspiration; echoing the essential simplicity and practicality of these ancient methods.
I have knotted and bound the flotsam and jetsom of the shoreline; the flora and fauna of the jungle have been woven together.
