Playing with the notion of anti-fashion, Aimee Determann’s menswear collection is inspired by purely functional garments. Silhouettes are developed from factory ‘over-clothes’, chemical ‘coveralls’ and flotation devices, celebrating and elevating the simple beauty of utilitarian clothing. Many pieces are created from layers of Tyvek (a strong but lightweight industrial material made from high density polythene fibres) and transparent rip-stop nylon.
