Christina Seewald is a Fashion knitwear designer who has just presented her collection at London Fashion Week 2019. Through her collection which deals with uncompromising female empowerment and obsessive behaviour, she wants to showcase her very focused point of view to a global audience. She achieves this by working with high quality yarns and very technically advanced knitting know-how.
Born and raised in Graz the Christina went to Vocational College of Fashion and Design in Graz and moved to London when she was 19. Before her Masters at Central Saint Martins she graduated with a BA in Textile-design at the same University.
Situating her branding, broadening her connections with other designers and potential clients are some of her immediate goals. Her aim is to establish a high-end womenswear brand, creating knitted garments with attention to craftsmanship. Embracing detailed attention to carefully manufactured textiles, each collection returns to forgotten or little-used knitwear fabrication techniques. The intention is to make clients aware of the considered sourcing and manufacturing, thus highlighting the importance of the conscious use of garments of quality.
