Charlotte Barrett will be graduating this year from Kingston University with a degree in Fashion Design, specialising in womanswear. Previous to studying at Kingston University, Charlotte completed a National Diploma in Textiles at the College of West Anglia, achieving a triple distinction.
Charlotte's Graduate collection has been inspired by a local busker in her home town of Kings Lynn, Norfolk. It has been said that he was once a singer/song writer for Seasick Steve, but that life was lost and he now entertains the streets of Kings Lynn town. Taking inspiration from his worn and torn clothes, and his battered and broken string guitar, the collection combines the elements of his once glamorous life style and his now sad and fragmented life. Thus creating an elegant and feminine feel, with a little bit of a twist.
