Steeped in contemporary art I’m looking for a strong aesthetics where reigns a monochrome harmony. At first autodidact, what left me a big freedom, I then integrated the school of the beaux arts of Vallauris what allowed me to acquire a different work technique much more organized and it is the mixture of both that results.
Each of my piecework arise from a pulsion by which I am guided, from there evolves an idea, a need which I concretize. I had in a evident way the urge to work the porcelain for all its symbolic, historic embodiments and its plastic qualities. I wish to revisit this material according to my personal codes.
My work is essentially based on the research for shape, purified and sober while affectionately shaking up the tradition, where reigns a balance between elegance and originality.
From this research ensues my work reflecting perfectly this collision between tendency and tradition. The opposition between the fine and fragile porcelain, and the abrupt and cold steel. It is the meeting of the minimal art design with the street and its unruly and excessive styles.
