'Y2K Inner child' is my personal proposal for a fictitious commission for 'Stradivarius', as a result of a project agreement between my university and the brand. Starting from a trend analysis of the ss2023 season, the 'Y2K' aesthetic, the main aesthetic trend of the moment, is selected and driven to an aesthetic purification, through a color palette and a research of textures that take the collection to a wellness scenario, as well-being is one of the lifestyle trends that currently stands out the most. The aim is to wake up the inner child from nostalgia to past decades, and embrace her with a soft and calm mantle full of references to wellness. This shock between such different worlds reduces Y2K to a much softer aesthetic similar to the brand's one. From here a collection of various looks is generated, which includes clothing and accessories (jewelry, bags, gloves, shoes...) where 2000 nostalgia and sensory textures are the common thread. At the same time, these are mono-material designs and/or items that improve with their 'usage', which therefore have a long life, in order to approach the brand to the new prevailing sustainability paradigms.
