My name is Alice Ferraro, I am a fashion designer with a degree from ISTITUTO MARANGONI and a master's degree from CENTRAL SAINT MARTINS.
Not everyone can give real meaning to the word passion...it's a
pity, because passion is that
feeling you get from the uniqueness of your creativity.
I am here to tell you how much it is indispensable FOR ME to express my ideas.....it gives me a deep sense of freedom and over the years I have realized that this feeling ( passion ) has become a primary need. without this essential ingredient I am "NOTHING"
I worked for many years in Max Mara in an environment of iron discipline, an indispen- sable ingredient for my passion and creativity .
Within the company I had the great fortune to be able to work on different product classes and thus mature a great cultural background .
In January 2019 I decided to leave my role as a fashion designer in the group and found my own brand APUA. In these two years, I have been able to experiment with my capabilities in a truly unique product that moves me every time I look at it, I talk about emotions because my creations first of all have to move people and then entice them to buy .
Only emotion can win people's hearts and before any marketing startegy I put emotion on the table through bags and jewelry .
I hope the interest can become
mutual because I would like to be able to give
emotions, even to the buyers and journalists, whom you will host in those days, and who will have to first of all, observe my products and then touch the great Italian craftsman- ship.

MARBLE JEWELLERY

APUA is a small MADE IN TUSCANY brand born about a year ago that creates bags in marble, gold and leather, in an artisanal way, strictly handmade.

Every single bag is a mini work of art that I would love to be able to show to as many people as possible to make them feel and touch and understand its uniqueness.
I am trying to build something that is 100% made in Italy, and that is a symbol of Italian craft- smanship and
quality, characteristics that have unfortunately been lost over the years.
Thanks to my collaboration last February with Flying Solo during NY FASHION WEEK, I managed to present my product overseas where there was a very positive reaction to the brand.

Marble is what inspired the brand.
It is the marble veins that always gives me ideas for new designs and constructions.
The marble veins are the reasons why each bag is unique and exclusive and that is why the bags will never be the same but every APUA product will be a UNIQUE bag in the world.
I have always hoped to move people with my creations, after all they are jewel bags and like all jewels they must strike people's hearts to be chosen.
In my opinion, we have reached a point where the market is so saturated that we no longer sells the object itself, but only and exclusively the emotion, what makes both men and women's eyes shine.
I am not here proposing another handbag brand or another useless piece of jewellery but inste- ad...."a DESIRE that as OVIDIO said "is not easy to obtain".
Elegance, lightweight, enjoyment, these are my cornerstones.
Lightweight especially was the hardest part at the beginning and it took me almost two years to get to the level I am today.
it seems paradoxical, but a beautiful ornament in gold weighs more than the
slab of marble, and this is only thanks to the exclusive work of Sara Devoti, my great business partner.
The marbles, used for processing Apua bags, are considered waste in the processing construction, as they are small, but perfect for making our creations.
Their beauty is what makes them precious, in addition to the geological history that has formed them over
millennia; this is why we believe in a broad sustainability project, encompassing as many fields as possible.
Natural resources must be optimised and enhanced, and we, with APUA, want to contribute to consolidating the value of beauty and history that have no "expiry dates."
